The Basics

Here as long as you remember the formula an understand it, then these will be an easy 1 mark question for you. The idea is that when you need to increase it by a percentage, we add one for the orginal number and then the decimal is the percentage increase. If we didn't add the one we would just find what the percentage/increase value is. The same goes for the decrease however instead of figuring out the percentage value and then minus it from the total, we simply minus R% by 1 and then multiple THAT by the number, x.
